 A:    Your healthy weight will be determined by many different factors. There isn't a number we can give you that will apply to all 17-18 year olds. However, we have a BMI tool on the website that when you put in all your information it will give you averages specific to you. You can find this tool on the home page, on the left had side, under "Free Tools".  
 
 Q:    I have a exercise plan from your site and it says to eat loke 1200 calories does that mean fat calories or just the calories altogether.

That number is for overall calories consumed for the day. Be aware that the number of calories you can eat will change daily in direct proportion to the amount of exercise you do.
 
 
 Q:    Ive heard that in order to get your hour long cardio workout in, you can break it up into sections if you dont have time to fit it all in at once. However, your most effective fat burning takes place after forty minutes of exercise. Will breaking up your cardio sections be as effective as doing it all at once?

 A:    After 40 minutes, of aerobic exercise, is when the body begins to run out of blood sugar and depends on stored fat to supply your energy needs. So what you heard is true to a point. The thing you need to focus on is not what kind of energy you're burning but how much. If you burn 500 calories in one session or two, your body still has to make up for that energy loss. If it doesn't take it during the workout, it will take it to supply you with energy while you continue your day.

Burn your calories where and when you can. Focus on how many calories you're burning during the day verses how many you eat. The bottom line is, whether you acheive your calorie deficit in one long or two short workouts your body will still have to used stored fat to reach its balance in the end.
 
 
 Q:    What is the best exercise to work the inner upper thigh? I am really trying to lose weight I am 5'0 and 240 but I was weighing at 300lbs. I started walking to work everyday (3 miles), and now I am working out at the gym on the bike for 45 mins almost everyday including other cardio but nothing seems to work on my inner thigh. My weight loss goal is 200lbs by the end of March or early April.

 A:    Congratulations on your success to this point. You should be very proud.

The answer to your question is simple. There is no such thing as spot training. Thus, there isn't an exercise in the world that will focus on removing body fat from a problem area. If we tell you that the adductor machine in your gym is best for working that area, and you go and work hard on that machine, you will just end up with a great muscle under the body fat still there.

The great news is you're on the right track! When you lose weight, it comes off all over the body at the same time. Stay the course your on, by making sure you are exercising more than you eat, and eventually the body fat in that area will reduce.
