Hi, I want to lose about 10 pounds in 2 weeks. Is it possible to lose this weight if I work out 6 days a week and eat 3 healthy meals a day, only eating carbs for one of those meals? |

Your goal of losing 5 pounds a week is rather ambitious and unhealthy. We recommend you revise your goal to 1-2 pounds a week. The reason is simple. You must burn 3,500 calories to lose one pound of body fat. If you burn 500 more calories than you eat for seven days, you will lose one pound of body fat. If you burn 1,000 calories more than you eat for seven days, you will lose two pounds of body fat. The key is to know how many calories are going in and out each day so you can accurately track your progress. Join Fatburn.com to find out how many calories you are consuming & burning every day. Also, check out the Health & Nutrition tab and read the articles, “The fastest way to burn calories while exercising,” “Is Cutting Carbs the best way to lose weight?” for more information. |

I am 5'2" and weigh 100 lbs. I have a very small bone frame (from Asian ancestry). I've started to get fat stores in my abdomen, butt, and face. I work out regularly and eat fairly well. I don't want to lose weight, I am skinny. Is there a way to exercise to lose those fatty deposits without losing weight? |

I was just wondering if it is possible to eat too much fruit and vegetables when trying to lose weight. I also heard that eating past 7 or 8 isnt good, and i was wondering if fruit is an acception. I ask this because i eat fruit even late at night to fill me up, instead of eating something else. Is this okay, or is fruit past a certain time still to be avoided? thank you |

No. It doesn't matter WHEN you eat, or how much of a type of food you eat. What does matter is the number of calories you consume/burn each day. If you eat 3000 calories worth of fruit and only burn 2000 calories a day, then you will gain a pound every 3.5 days. Conversely, if you consume 1500 calories worth of cheesecake per day and you burn 2000 calories a day, you will lose one pound a week. Clearly, it’s healthier to eat fruit. Moderation is the key! |
