Q & A with fatburn.com's Experts

Q:    How many calories do I need to burn to start loseing weight..I am 162 pounds and 5'6
Asked By Anonymous
A:    The answer is as individual as you are. Each person will have a different caloric intake total, each day of the week, to reach the required 3,500 more calories burned than you eat to lose one pound of body fat. If you burn 500 more calories than you eat a day, for seven days, you will burn 3,500 calories. On a day that you burn 2,500 calories, you can eat up to 2000 calories. On a day that you burn 2800 calories, you can eat up to 2300 calories. Each person will be different and each day will be different. Join fatburn.com today and find out how many calories you can eat everyday and lose a pound a week (or more)!

Q:    When I weigh myself, I normally weigh myself with my clothes on... How many pounds should we subtract to get a correct reading?
Asked By Anonymous
A:    In terms of weighing yourself, it is better to be consistent than right. :-)

Basically, you want to establish a set of conditions that are the same every time you weigh yourself. For examples, the time of day, whether or not you just went to the bathroom, whether you are wearing your pajamas or your business suit, whether you weighed yourself using the scale at the gym or the one in your bathroom... Each of these items can create variations in your measurements.

So rather than subtract some value to compensate for what you wear (or where you are), we recommend that you weigh yourself once a week in the morning right after you went to the bathroom.

Q:    I've been going to the gym consistently for a month--but I haven't lost any weight? Why?
Asked By Anonymous
A:    It's pretty simple really. If you consume MORE calories than you burn every day you will gain weight. If you consume the SAME amount of calories as you burn, you will maintain your weight. To lose weight, you have to burn MORE calories than you consume every day. To lose one pound, you need to burn 3500 calories. Join fatburn.com to learn how you can lose those extra pounds once and for all.
