Sierra, the only way you’re going to lose weight is when your body is in a calorie deficit. Simply put, you have to eat fewer calories than your body burns. It's simple math. Learn how many calories your body burns during the day through daily activities and exercise. Then make sure that you eat at least 500 fewer calories than the amount that you burned each day. If you do that you will lose one pound a week. If you need to lose more weight quickly, then you can increase your caloric deficit accordingly. Just make sure that you consume a minimum of 1,000 to 1,200 calories per day. We made fatburn.com to help make this process short and easy. Join the site, it only cost $7.99 a month (or less!) and we will guide you to your weight needed for the Army. |

I'm 5'7 and weigh 162 pounds. I've lost 10 pounds through fatburn and I'm doing great! I'm just wondering for my height, how much should I weigh? My goal weight is 142, which is 30 pounds. Is this too little/much and is 24 weeks too short of a time to try to loose this much? |

Congratulations Rachel! We're stoked you're doing so well. 30 pounds in 24 weeks is a reasonable goal. Is that a good weight for a woman your size? By the Body Mass Index Scale that would put you just below average and that would be great. But the final decision will have to be up to you. At what weight do you feel the best? Only you can answer that. Just keep it healthy. Keep up the great work! |

I am a 5'11" female and weigh 130-133. I used to weigh about 147 and got up to 155 my freshman year of college. I lost alot, but I don't want to gain it back so I eat about 800 cals a day. How can I increase to my needed amount without making my body freak out because it won't be used to it? How many calories a day do I need. I do kickboxing twice a week, and Pilates on the other days and I also walk all over campus. I just don't want to gain it all back. Thank you. |

Congratulations on losing the weight! You gained the weight in the first place because you ate and you body did what it was supposed to do with extra calories, store them as body fat. You lost the weight because you didn't eat enough so your body did what it was supposed to do, use the stored energy (body fat) for you energy needs. Now you want to stay the where you are. It's easy. All you have to do is make sure that you eat at least 1200 calories a day and burn 1200 calories or more each day. Weight maintenance is simple physics. Your energy in (food/calories) has to be the same as your energy out (calories burned). Good luck |
